Indian Pledge in English & Hindi
The National Pledge of India is a promise made by Indians to love and serve their country. It was written by Pydimarri Venkata Subba Rao, a writer and government official from Andhra Pradesh, in the early 1960s. The pledge was first used in schools in Andhra Pradesh and soon spread across India.
Today, students recite it in schools, and it is often heard at important events. The pledge reminds us of our duty to respect our country, stay united, and work for India’s progress. It encourages all Indians to take pride in their nation and work together for a better future.
