NCERT Consults 25 External Experts and 16 CBSE Teachers to Revise Syllabus for 2023, Drops Several Topics
The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has recently announced that it will be revising the syllabus for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for the academic year 2023. In this process, NCERT consulted 25 external experts and 16 CBSE teachers to ensure that the new syllabus aligns with the latest educational trends and needs.
The decision to revise the syllabus was taken after considering various factors, including the feedback received from students, parents, and teachers. NCERT also conducted a survey to assess the effectiveness of the current syllabus and to identify areas that require improvement.
Based on the feedback received, NCERT has decided to drop some topics that were deemed irrelevant or outdated and to introduce some new topics that are more in line with the current trends in education. Some of the topics that have been dropped include the history of cricket, poems by William Wordsworth, and certain chapters on grammar.
The decision to drop these topics has been taken after careful consideration of the feedback received from students and teachers. The aim is to streamline the syllabus and make it more relevant and useful to students, while also ensuring that it aligns with the latest educational trends and needs.
To ensure that the revised syllabus is of the highest quality, NCERT consulted with 25 external experts from various fields, including education, psychology, and sociology. These experts provided valuable insights and recommendations, which were incorporated into the new syllabus.
Additionally, NCERT also consulted with 16 CBSE teachers who provided feedback on the current syllabus and suggestions for improvement. This collaborative effort helped to ensure that the new syllabus is well-rounded and covers all important topics.
Overall, the revision of the CBSE syllabus for 2023 is a welcome move that will help to ensure that students receive a high-quality education that is relevant and up-to-date. The decision to consult with external experts and CBSE teachers shows NCERT's commitment to providing the best possible education to students.
