About The School
A primary school was established by a visionary with missionary zeal in the year 1982 at his residential house. Sureswar Dutta, a social activist, a lawyer by profession, and a man with an uncompromising struggle, established Maria’s Day School. The school gradually grew into a nearby plot, and the group was later formed with a number of prestigious Howrah schools, colleges, and institutes. Thousands of students have passed and entered the right career path.

The right to education is not merely the right to literacy. The welfare nation ensures that no child is deprived of an elementary education. The right of a child to read, write, and do arithmetic (3R) is a human right in today’s world. If schooling is restricted to learning alone, today, higher education is assumed to guarantee "learn to earn". Education has taken up the role of a way to live for an individual in this complex world of survival today.
